Alabama National Fair
📆 October 3-13, 2025
📍1555 Federal Dr, Montgomery, AL 36107
Montgomery’s love for fairs dates back to 1854, when the Alabama State Agricultural Society held exhibitions along the banks of the Alabama River. Though the tradition paused during hard times, it roared back to life in 1954 thanks to the Montgomery Kiwanis Club and the newly built Garrett Coliseum. With just $500 and a bold vision, they launched what would become a beloved October tradition.
Now known as the Alabama National Fair, this annual event blends fun and purpose—supporting local nonprofits, promoting agriculture and the arts, and giving families a chance to make memories. Still run by dedicated volunteers, the Fair is more than rides and funnel cakes—it's a celebration of community, culture, and giving back.
Don’t miss this year’s fair—it’s tradition, fun, and heart all in one place!
