For 2025, you can deduct interest on up to $750,000 of mortgage debt if you purchased your home after December 15, 2017. If your mortgage predates this, higher limits may apply.
Tip: Your lender will provide a Form 1098 showing the interest you paid for the year, making it easier to claim.
