On the national level, I’ve been hearing that the market for move-up homes is more robust than for starter properties. Data on page 2 of this week’s Midtown Market Report reveals that is the case locally as well. Chalk it up to an ongoing shortage of homes for sale under $300,000 and would-be buyers who can’t afford what is available.
