Labor Day 5K & Lil’ Tri

Adventure in Your Backyard this Labor Day Weekend! Send off summer with Outdoor Adventure. The long weekend kicks off with some friendly competition.
Montgomery Whitewater’s “Lil’ Tri” puts a fun spin on the traditional triathlon by challenging young athletes to run, bike, and paddle, across the finish line. Open to kids ages 6-12, Lil’ Tri consists of a 250-yard flatwater paddle, a 700-yard bike ride, and an 880-yard run.

The River Region's largest college and career fair is back!
The Junior League of Montgomery's College & Career Fair will be Monday, September 14, 2026, from 9 AM-2 PM at the Multiplex!
This free event will be open to high school juniors and seniors from 9 AM-2PM! A variety of vendors representing four-year colleges, community colleges, military recruiters, and businesses are registered to connect with your students!

Zoobilation: The Wildest Party in Town

This annual fundraising event will be held at the Montgomery Zoo. Zoobilation is a major, annual fundraising event for the Montgomery Zoo. This year is the night to reserve for this grand event which supports one of the River Region’s cultural and educational icons.
The night will feature samplings from many of the region’s finest eateries and beverage vendors; soulful, toe-tapping, live entertainment; a digital auction, and a few surprises to make the evening grand and festive. Join the adventure and fun!

Fall Fest is a free event that celebrates Montgomery, Alabama’s vibrant creative culture, featuring both local and regional artists from all backgrounds. This free public event features an art market with more than 30 vendors, live music, art demos, artmaking, food trucks, and tastings. The Artist Market is an integral part of Fall Festival; booths feature fine arts and crafts for sale made locally in the River Region.

One of the River Region’s signature events, produced by Lightning Line and held in the charming environment of Old Alabama Town. This special event benefits the Landmarks Foundation and showcases the best of Alabama’s oyster farmers, featuring local and regional chefs, and live music.
Each year's event provides funds for Landmarks Foundation who oversees Old Alabama Town and historic preservation in Central Alabama.
